ORMOND UNITING LAUNCHES
THE LITTLE FREE PANTRY
As a grassroots way of helping those facing food insecurity in the neighbourhood, a community project called The Little Free Pantry has just been opened on the front grounds of Ormond Uniting .
This little pantry is a place where people can freely receive and give household essentials of food, drinks and toiletries. Everyone is invited to either donate items to, or if in need, take items from, inside this pantry. The contents will change day by day depending who has stopped by.
We hope you'll feel free take what you need or leave what you can!
If you would like to know more about the pantry or offer help in some way feel free to make contact by email here.
Ormond Uniting Church is a congregation of The Uniting Church in Australia, located in the inner, south eastern suburbs of Melbourne. You might call us liturgically traditional and theologically progressive; that is, our worship is traditional but our approach to Christian faith is contemporary and thoughtful.
Currently, we are in a significant transition phase. Beginning in 2021 we will undertake a major building development of exciting new community facilities with a focus on learning, including a major refurbishment of the church.
