Who are we connected with?

The Uniting Church in Australia
The Ormond congregation is part of the UCA.
We are in the Presbytery of Port Phillip East
in the Synod of Victoria and Tasmania
The national body of our church is the Assembly

The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre
The ASRC supports asylum seekers in our Australian community, especially those who not able to work, do not receive support under Medicare and whose children are not permitted to go to school. Each week in our worship we bring food items for distribution to the more-than 700 people who receive food aid from the ASRC each week. A number of our annual fund-raising events support the ASRC.

Glen Eira Adult Learning Centre (GEALC)
The Ormond congregation has had a long association with GEALC. We have previously supported them through the use of the youth hall and now through the use of the former manse on Booran Road. We have provided them with heavily subsidised rental over more than 10 years. Members of the congregation volunteer in ESL and other classes and in GEALC's major annual events.
