Each year we observe advent by lighting candles and remembering and praying for hope, peace, joy and love. But just what is the significance of this special part of the church year? In the season of advent, believers await Christ's presence in three distinct ways: the historical birth in Bethlehem, the spiritual awakening within an individual's heart, and the future hope of His return. Across three Sunday afternoons we will explore the biblical events and prophecies that point us towards Christ in eternity, Christ becoming human and Christ returning. All are welcome to come on this journey as we seek to answer the question ‘What are we waiting for?’.
